What is the best way you have found to capture your work so you can put it on the computer? I have tried both taking pics with the digital camera and putting the piece in my scanner, and both have their drawbacks. What's your method?
Ohh boy, be prepared, Lydia and I argue on this one all the time. LOL
I use a camera, and a backdrop. Something neutral that doesn't have too much of the same color as your project.
Right now my backdrop is an old piece of weathered board propped up with my sugar container, but I have a cork board that I use different scrapbook papers or I pin fabric or lace depending on the project.
When I use the camera, I never ever use the flash.
Use natural morning or late afternoon light and adjust the lighting/contrast in your editing program. If you use morning light, make sure you are not in direct sunlight and your picture should not need any adjusting.
If you have metal parts on your project, make sure you do not stand direct in front of your image or you will see your own reflection in the picture. LOL most people wouldn't see it but you will know it''s you.
Make sure you do not have any fans or movement above you or you will see a slight blur in any reflective parts.
