12 Days of Christmas Art & Craft Swap Hosted By Kim

I was invited to swap in the 12 days of Christmas Swap with another group and so I decided instead I would start one here.

You create 12 art/crafty items, approximately $10-15 value. They can be all the same or 12 different, your choice. All mediums welcome.

Then you send the 12 items and approx $10 shipping (may vary slightly) to the Host (in this case me aka Kim) and you will receive 12 gifts back.

This is a great way to collect fun stocking stuffers for Christmas gifts or have fun little packages to open for yourself.

You may sign up more than once, but then you will have to double your creations. Depending on the number of participants, you can end up in 2 different groups.

Items must be of quality creation, remember these are gifts, and they represent your workmanship. Items should be individually packaged or wrapped for easy distribution.

We need a minimum of 13 participants in order to receive 12 unique items back. I myself will be the first one to sign up so we need 12 more for the first round.

Items must be in the mail no later than November 20th to allow for return in time for Christmas.

Unfortunately we do not have enough swappers to continue.

I don't think it is fair that some of you would have to pay 2 shipping values to send and then receive your craft items when we don't have that many participants.

I think it may have been a little too late to get this started for this year.

Everyone is busy with craft shows, getting orders out and everything else for the season.

Maybe let's consider a spring swap instead?

If that works, I can set some dates, and we can start a sign up process for a Spring swap.

I would be more apt to hope for a swap next fall. If I were to use the 'swap' items as stocking stuffers, I wouldn't have a hope of finding where I put them, for Christmas 2009! lol

Well maybe as a happy medium, we could make it Christmas in July? Then have a deadline of July 31st.

That would work for me, as the summer months usually are not too busy.
