Shopit.com Store setup
I just set up my store and first item on Shopit.com
Here is my very basic shop on shopit: http://www.shopit.com/imagesbykim
First I went to my profile page here on Can-eh and added the shopit application.
Then it was a little bit confusing at first but ideally you should set up your store first with the name of your shop and then add products. I did mine kinda backwards so it was a little bit more difficult to set up the store and password after.
There is some tweeking as far as adding a profile image, and other features.
It just means some reading and questioning and answering here on caneh should get you through it.
Payment set up is easy and you can use your paypal or choose other methods.
Shipping is generic and only allows for one value, so you may want to use the description or include the shipping value in your price. Another option would be to charge the higher if you deal with more types and refund the difference after payment.
Downside seems to be only one photo allowed but I haven't explored to far yet.
All in all, it seems pretty cool, this could create a whole new selling venue from Can-eh or any ning networks. Wow and it is free, does it get any better?

If you belong on more than one ning network it is as easy as adding the application on your next network and it automatically retreives your products.
Also check out the widgets, there is an html widget that you can copy and paste on your blogs and other sites for a cool product view.
I also have several nings under different email id's so pasting the widget into a text box was an easy alternative because you can't have more than one email address for your shop.
It does look like they are going to change that soon.
