Living in Waterloo but grew up in Edmonton
Hi,
I'm Chantelle James and I currently live in Waterloo, ON. My family is still in Edmonton, AB, where I grew up.
I started making jewelry almost two years ago when I saw a pair of earrings that I wanted but couldn't afford. I figured it couldn't be that hard to make a similar pair... and with that, my jewelry obsession was born. I use sterling silver wire, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, and Swarovski crystals and pearls to create my pieces. Someday I'll take a silversmithing course but for now I'm content with wrapping and wire work alone. I love pulling out my trays of stones and just looking at how pretty they are!
I also love vintage dress patterns, especially if they're from the late 30's/early 40's or mid-50's. I've graded a few to fit me and made them up, which is a time-consuming but rewarding experience! I sew other clothes for myself and can occasionally be convinced to sew clothes or bags for other people.
I live with my long-time common-law husband, who plays a number of video games. At some point we hope to get a small dog.
