In answer to your question about your avatar. The space allowed for an avatar is 183 x 183 pixels. If you uploaded an avatar 75 x 75 pxls then it has been stretched to fit. This is why it looks blurry.
You should recreate an avatar in a larger size ideally 200 x 200 and then the site program can down size it to the right size. Be sure to view your avatar at actual view to see how the finished resolution will look.
